Our 2nd Annual Pre-Shoot Party was an unforgettable evening filled with great music, food, friends, and community at the stunning Hudson House in West Park, NY.
Guests enjoyed a fantastic live performance by The Carrie Zazz Band, one of the Hudson Valley’s best, while dancing, mingling, and taking in the breathtaking views of the Hudson River.
The evening brought together fellow shooters, friends, sponsors, and the dedicated veterinarians who help make this event possible. Most importantly, it was a night dedicated to celebrating our community and supporting a cause close to our hearts: “The Dogs We Love & the Humans Who Love Them.”
Guests were treated to a signature “Megasaurus” cocktail, inspired by Meg—super sweet, but definitely packing a punch after one or two!
Thanks to our generous host sponsor, Purina, the evening also featured exciting giveaways and raffle prizes, with more than $2,000 in prizes up for grabs.
Whether relaxing on the deck under the stars, dancing to live music, or simply enjoying time with friends, it was a wonderful evening from start to finish.
The Pre-Shoot Party was our way of saying thank you to our sponsors, veterinarians, and especially our shooters. Their continued support makes everything we do possible and helps us continue the fight to end cancer.

Dash Fund established at CUVS
Over the past 5 years through the generosity of the shooters who come to our event, we have been able to fund lifesaving research at The Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine, but in the past 5 years we have done much more. We have donated to the Riney K9 Health Center at Cornell Ithaca, helped to fund research on Gastric Cancer, Osteosarcoma, and Lymphoma. Helped to fund the new Linear Accelerator for Cancer treatment at Cornell Ithaca. Donated $30,000 to the Patient Assistance Program at the Cornell Veterinary Hospital, in Stamford, Conn, and for 2026 we are announcing the formation of the “Dash Foundation, at CUVS in Stamford, Conn.
Named after Scott Gannon’s beloved Springer “Dasher” who lost his battle with Cancer in 2025, we have developed this program to assist K9 Cancer patients whose owners cannot afford Cancer care whether it be a surgery, chemo, or other life saving cancer treatments. The “Dash Foundation” is a first of its kind at CUVS for cancer only dogs, and it is one more way the K9 Cancer Shoot, and your dollars, is saving one more dog, and helping one more human in what we do.
Please know your dollars do matter, and every penny will make a difference in the lives of the dogs we are trying to help and the humans who love them. Look for another big announcement at the K9 Cancer shoot on June 13th as we move forward to assist, “one more dog, and one more human”, fight this terrible disease.
